Mr. Timothy “Timmy” Kevin Simmons, age 57, a resident of Lockesburg, Arkansas, died Sunday, April 30, 2017, at his home.

He was born October 26, 1959 at De Queen, Arkansas. He was a diesel mechanic and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.                

Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his parents, Harless Thelma and Ottie Vermease Cook Simmons.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Webb Simmons; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brandi and Logan Arter of Lockesburg and Natasha Simmons of Hooks, Texas; one stepdaughter, Lisa Simmons of Lockesburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Anita Simmons of Lockesburg; four grandchildren, Kevin and Alainna Arter, Justtes Latimer and Hope Bayless; niece and nephew, John and Dana Simmons of Lockesburg and special friends, Valerie and Randy Johnson.                    

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Lockesburg with Bro. Wesley Blankenship officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday May 2nd at the funeral home.

So sorry for your loss. It is a major loss to me. I depended on his to give me numbers on the equipment. He had them all in his head. I was so in hopes he would make it through. At least he is not suffering any more. He will be greatly missed.

Tim was like a son to me. He told his wife I was his second mother. I'm so glad I got to spend some time with him yesterday. I knew when I left yesterday he wouldn't be here much longer. When my boys went to Calif Tim came out here after work to check on me He was hurting then. He said he had to come make sure I was ok. I love you Tim!
