Mrs. Joye Fern Manasco, age 79, a resident of Umpire, Arkansas, died Friday, August 4, 2017, at her home.
She was born May 24, 1938, in Umpire. She was a retired school teacher, a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, enjoyed singing, gardening, cooking, and playing the piano.
Mrs. Manasco was preceded in death by her parents, W.T. and Bessie Kirby Strasner and her husband, James Flenoia Manasco.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Anissa Manasco and Jason and Amanda Manasco, all of Umpire; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth and Rick Patterson of Van Buren, Arkansas; one sister, Jessie Pendergrass of Umpire; six grandchildren, Logan and Hannah Patterson, Tanner and Haley Manasco and Chloe and Tyler Manasco; her caregivers, Hattie Vance and Dana Vance; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Manasco will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 7, 2017, in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Umpire with Don Fortner, Don Vaughn and John Henry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 6th at the funeral home in Dierks.
