To the Wilkerson Family:
The news of B. Bud's passing is saddening. Words cannot express how special he was to me and my family. He was a wonderful man in many ways, and I find it very refreshing that his legacy and compassion was passed on to his children and grandchildren. God comfort you all during this time and in the days to come.

4 generations of my family(Godwin & Skidmore) are buried at Mt Ida Cemetery and all have been interred by Wilkerson Funeral Home. I remember Mr. Wilkerson being at most of them.
Such a kind, gentle soul. The area has lost an iconic figure who
helped families during their saddest times. I know his family will continue his tradition of trust and humility to all.

I will dearly miss seeing Mr. B Bud around town. I always got a hug and a smile. Some of my most treasured memories are of living near Mr. Fred and Nano, B Bud and Martha Sue, and the boys. Long summer days playing in each others yards. What a wonderful time we had. My thoughts and prayers will always be with The Wilkerson Family. They are all precious and very dear to me and my sister, Leslie. Blessings.

B. Bud was a wonderful friend to my father. They were buddies through thick and thin times. Dad would always tease B. Bud after church as B.Bud would be the first to greet members at the bottom of the stairs. Dad said B. Bud was trying to "drum up business"! B.Bud will be sorely missed. He was a lover of life which included God, family, golf, and friends. What an extraordinary man he was.

Oh, B. Bud, you will be sorely missed. I knew your father and drove him in his car to the monument business when I was about seven years old. So our familial relationships go back many years I had many laughs with you B. Bud and loved to tease you. I have never known anyone to be such a gracious, caring, and kind individual as you, plus that sense of humor. Someone once said, if you look for the word gentleman in the dictionary, you will see B. Bud's picture. Your entire family was/is like family to me and very special. Rest in peace, dear friend, and watch over all of us. My sincere condolences to all the family.
